First Aid at Work ( 3 Day Course)
Successful candidates will be awarded with a 3 year qualification approved under the Health and Safety First Aid Regulations of 1981. This course covers the priorities of first aid for a number of medical conditions, including:
- Resuscitation
- Choking
- Control of bleeding
- Dealing with an unconscious casualty
- Burns
- Head injuries
- Accident books and recording
- And many more.
The course requirements are 18 hours training, which can be worked around your company needs.
An independent assessor will carry out the practical assessment on the last day.
A maximum of 12 candidates can be accommodated on this course; the minimum age limit is 16 years of age.
First Aid at Work Refresher ( 2 Day Course)
This MUST be carried out during the validation period of the certificate. This 12 hour course will recap the vital skills of First Aid and update candidates of any new protocols, which may have changed since their previous course.

Emergency First Aid at Work ( 1 Day Course)
Where a company’s assessment has shown that the requirement for a full First Aider is not required, the minimum requirement will be a designated ‘appointed person’.
This course will give the candidates the basic skills to deal with:
- Resuscitation
- Choking
- Bleeding
- Burns
- Head Injuries
- Accident books and recording
The course will also deal with the common First Aid requirements for your business.
The course requires 6 hours attendance; this can be completed in one day, or split to suit your requirements.
The course is carried out as a continual assessment throughout the time and on successful completion candidates will achieve a HSE certificate which is valid for 3 years.
A maximum of 12 candidates can be accommodated on this course; the minimum age limit is 16 years of age.
Paediatric Course ( 2 Day Course)
This course has been designed for people who care for children and infants.
It is aimed for those who work in schools, crèches, nurseries, as well as child minders, volunteers and parents.
The course deals with common children medical conditions, including the following:
- Asthma
- Croup
- Hyperventilation
- Foreign Bodies (in the ear, nose and eye)
- Febrile Convulsion
- Meningitis
- Sickle cell
The course also covers:
- Adult, child, infant resuscitation
- Choking
- Bleeding
- Burns
- Head injuries
- Accident books and recording
The course requires 12 hours attendance; this can be completed over two days, or split up to suit your requirements.
A maximum of 12 candidates can be accommodated on this course; the minimum age limit is 16 years of age.
Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
This course will demonstrate the ease of using an AED unit and refresh the candidates on:
- Primary & secondary Survey
- Chain of Survival
- Resuscitation (and any updates)
- Scenarios with the AED.
The course requires 4 hours attendance.
The course is carried out as a continual assessment throughout the time and on successful completion candidates will achieve a HSE certificate which is valid for 3 years.
